A11Yneeds helps people express their accommodation needs and helps organizations present the accommodations they can provide.

Anonymous or account-free use

Some A11Yneeds functions can be used without an account. In this mode, A11Yneeds does not keep personal user information on its servers.

Information prepared locally remains under the user's control and is transmitted only if the user chooses to send it, for example by e-mail or to a compatible organization.

Use with an account

With an account, A11Yneeds may store certain information to allow synchronization between several devices, recovery in case of local loss and reuse of fields already completed.

Personal information saved for requests to organizations can be modified or deleted by the user at any time.

The user systematically chooses which information they want to transmit to an organization. Fields proposed by an organization are not mandatory by principle: the user remains free to complete them or not.

Requests sent to organizations

When a request is sent directly to an organization, A11Yneeds transmits the selected accommodations, the fields the user chose to complete and any free text entered by the user.

This information is intended for the organization concerned by the request. It must not be used for other purposes without a valid basis and clear information to the user.

A11Yneeds does not sell users' personal data.

Security and technical logs

A11Yneeds may keep technical information required for security, login, error diagnosis, abuse prevention and proper operation of the service.

This information may include login dates, session identifiers, browser or application information, technical request information and security events.

These technical data are not intended to build a commercial profile of the user.

Third-party applications

The user may choose to use their A11Yneeds account in a compatible third-party application or service.

In that case, use of the data by the third-party application is the responsibility of the user and of the third-party application provider. A11Yneeds declines responsibility for processing, display, analysis, storage or transmission of data carried out by a third-party application that is not published or expressly approved by A11Yneeds.

A third-party application may not pool, resell, rent, sublicense or provide indirect access to A11Yneeds services through an account, key, API or subscription that does not belong to the people or organizations receiving that access.

Normal use of files

The producer or organization responsible for a .a11y or .a11y+ file may create, modify, store, publish, transmit, analyze, host and use its own files freely, for its own needs or through a technical provider acting on its behalf.

A11Yneeds may store, copy, index, cache, technically analyze and distribute .a11y or .a11y+ files when this is necessary for operation of the service, hosting requested by an organization, security, maintenance, backup, format validation or improvement of the system.

Restrictions on files

No other third party may collect, permanently store, republish, redistribute, resell, rent, mirror, commercially exploit or use to build a database .a11y or .a11y+ files produced by another person or organization, unless prior written permission is obtained from both the file producer and A11Yneeds.

This rule aims to preserve control of the files by their producer, the security of the A11Yneeds format and the integrity of the service.

A11Yneeds structure, format and service

A11Yneeds reserves its rights over the A11Yneeds name, interfaces, code, documentation, the specific structure of .a11y and .a11y+ files, hosted services and associated databases.

The general concept of a tool used to describe and transmit accommodation needs cannot be reserved absolutely. However, reuse of the concrete expression of the A11Yneeds system, its files, documentation, service or databases is subject to these terms.

Availability and alpha version

A11Yneeds is under development. Some functions may evolve, be modified, moved or suspended.

The service is provided without any guarantee of permanent availability. A11Yneeds makes its best efforts to preserve access to useful data, service security and file consistency, but users and organizations remain responsible for their uses, decisions and internal backups.

Deletion and control of data

Users with an account can delete the personal information saved for requests to organizations. Deletion functions or deletion requests may be offered in the application or by direct contact.

Organizations remain responsible for information they keep in their own systems after receiving a request.
